Recovery run

Week 7, Day 1

Just a little easy run tonight, very welcome after yesterday’s ten-miler.

I turned up to the club C25K session (10-6-10) as much to support it as to have company to run with. I needed something gentle to shake my legs out and it was just the ticket.

As usual, it was fun and relaxed. I wasn’t chasing a time and I wasn’t chasing a distance, I just wanted a wee run without putting any pressure on myself.

fullsizerender-14For health & safety reasons we’re required to call out any obstacles and hazards for the benefit of those coming behind us eg: lampposts, bins and cars etc. so that there’ll be no accidents.

It was funny, then, when I ran back home myself at the end of the session that I caught myself almost guldering ‘POST!’ out as loud as I could to absolutely no-one in particular.

Anyway, as I said, a quiet recovery run with not much else to report really. A day off tomorrow.
